Photo Job Documentation
Disputes, warranty claims, and “you broke my tile” callbacks are the silent profit-killers of plumbing service. Photo documentation eliminates them almost entirely — but only if the workflow makes it impossible for a tech to forget.
The Plumbing Snapshot’s documentation flow is designed to be the path of least resistance for the tech on the job.
The flow
- Tech arrives — system auto-prompts “Take before photos”
- Tech snaps before photos — 3-4 angles, time-stamped, GPS-tagged
- Tech works — mid-job photos optional but encouraged for big jobs
- Tech finishes — system auto-prompts “Take after photos”
- Tech snaps after — same angles
- Auto-share — branded SMS to homeowner with photo gallery link
- Auto-archive — all photos saved to the customer record forever
What this prevents
- Tile / fixture / wall damage disputes (you have time-stamped before photos)
- Warranty claim disputes (you have proof of work performed)
- Insurance claim disputes (you have the documentation insurers require)
- “I didn’t see that crack” callbacks (the photo is timestamped 12 minutes before tech arrival)
- Customer “did you really do this work?” disputes (after photo proves it)
What this enables
- Branded photo-share with the customer — feels premium, builds trust
- Upsell opportunities flagged from photos (rust on valves, old fixtures, etc.)
- Before/after gallery for your website and Google Business Profile
- Insurance documentation that gets claims approved faster
Compliance / privacy
Photos are stored in your GHL account — never on a third-party site. Homeowner consent for the photo-share SMS is captured at intake. Photos can be deleted on request per state privacy law (CCPA / CDPA).
